In April 2009, we decided to stop drinking alcohol for a while and bought some cordials so that we would have something to sip during the evenings. Mostly, we found them to be far too sweet and rather disappointing, so we decided to make our own.

We had a great time experimenting with recipes and flavours until we came up with a range of cordials we enjoyed much more than any we could buy. One night, a friend sampled some of our cordials and said, “Why aren’t you selling these in the shops?” and Kendal Cordials was born.

We now supply an ever-increasing number of farm shops, delis and cafes around the North-West, as well as selling our cordials and drinks at farmers markets and food shows. Kendal Cordials has become a family affair, with our three boys helping stick labels on bottles in our small kitchen, and our parents also
helping out on the stall and in lots of other ways too.

We are both passionate about food and drink, and have felt
welcomed and supported by a great many people who have been so generous with their advice, support and encouragement.

We will be adding to our range all the time, as well as producing seasonal specials such as elderflower cordial. We would love to hear your comments, suggestions and recipe ideas so please
contact us with your thoughts.

Here we are busy at the
Westmorland Show, 2009.
